Three surfs and a day's work in one day,
Up at 5am and in till 9, surfed the new quad which went well, very loose, easy to duck dive and generally happy to be on a short board again. The odd wobble on take off but countered by throwing some nice turns, one cut back of note and a bit of slide from the fins! Got out and based my office out of Steve's St Vedas' café overlooking the swell and using his wifi. Late afternoon back in for two more sessions, firstly on the quad again - connected the dots really nicely on a back hand wave with three crisp-ish turns and and then a final hour or so on the log as my arms died. Cruisey ride in on the nose (but not toes over) to finish the day. Great vibe in the water all day too.
Got home and Kirsty had bought me this :)
Had Wednesday off so walked into a local spot which was unfortunately off shore so came back.
Ended up having a late session at Pease, surfed on my own for a while, it was very lumpy. As it cleaned up the peak looked too good so joined the pack on a nice peak and picked up a handful of waves which was a surprise as I didn't think I was going to get a sniff. Always nice to land all the take offs in that situation and get to the channel. Got out late and had an epic drive across the Scottish boarders, destination Macclesfield for a few days work. Arms are absolutely flogged, unable to lift left arm above head!
Pease as I went up the hill.
